Apollo Tyres Ltd's board has approved unaudited consolidated financial results for the second quarter and first half of the financial year 2026-27, reporting double-digit revenue growth and a change in its finance leadership. The quarter covers July to September 2026, while the half-year covers April to September 2026. The board approved the results and the finance leadership change together.

For the quarter ended September 30, 2026, consolidated revenue from operations rose 17% to Rs 7,968 crores from Rs 6,831 crores in the same period of FY2025-26. Operating profit was Rs 855 crores. Net profit increased 13% to Rs 292 crores from Rs 258 crores. The result included an estimated pre-tax restructuring cost of Rs 26 crores, disclosed as an exceptional item. The company reported the figures on a consolidated basis.

First-half performance

In the six months from April to September, revenue from operations increased 15% to Rs 15,366 crores from Rs 13,392 crores a year earlier. Operating profit for the half-year was Rs 1,723 crores, and net profit reached Rs 641 crores, compared with Rs 271 crores in the corresponding period. The half-year net profit also included the Rs 26 crores pre-tax restructuring cost as an exceptional item.

The company said its Indian operations carried strong revenue growth momentum into the second quarter, reflecting the effectiveness of its growth initiatives.

Management comment

Chairman Onkar Kanwar said growth across categories in India had been supported by sustained rural expansion efforts and a strategic association with cricket. He also said new product launches in the commercial vehicle segment in India had strengthened performance in the past quarter. Kanwar added that geopolitical tensions in West Asia remained a headwind, leading to elevated input costs and supply chain disruptions.

CFO appointment

The board also approved the appointment of Ravi Kumar Shingari as chief financial officer, effective November 4, 2026. Shingari joined Apollo Tyres in 2018 as group head, finance, and has held responsibilities across budgeting, accounts and investor relations. More recently, he was given additional responsibility for legal.

Before joining Apollo Tyres, Shingari spent more than 16 years at KPMG, where his last assignment was partner, tax and regulatory. His previous role at KPMG covered tax and regulatory work. He is a chartered accountant and holds a bachelor's degree in commerce, B.Com (H), from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University. In the CFO role, he will report directly to Neeraj Kanwar, vice chairman and managing director.
