Landscape Forms has relaunched SHUFFLE, a modular smart-pole system that combines Wi-Fi, cameras, sensors, two-way communications and electric-vehicle charging in a single vertical structure. The company says the updated platform is intended to help municipalities, campuses and commercial developers add site functionality without adding visual clutter or additional cost.
One pole, multiple functions
SHUFFLE is designed to stack technologies in a vertical pole that is easy to activate and install. Its modular components are intended to support customization and future adaptability, while the integrated approach brings modern aesthetics and operational efficiencies to busy, multi-use environments. Landscape Forms says the system can be configured for both specialized settings and general public spaces, adding security and convenience where people gather to work, travel, study and recreate.
The relaunch responds to a familiar pressure in public-space design: sites short on room have added separate pole-mounted sensors, cameras, lighting and connectivity equipment, creating clutter and complexity. SHUFFLE consolidates those capabilities into one adaptable system, according to the company.
Configuration and new modules
Landscape Forms has also introduced a new build feature on its website to simplify configuration. Clients can specify preferred camera and technology brands and choose from a range of options within each category.
New feature updates include options designed for plug-and-play simplicity: a 360-degree area light, a decorative light ring, a 180-degree area light, quad-view and 180-degree cameras, motion sensors, and loudspeaker and intercom modules.
“This is the solution site designers have been waiting for,” said Shannon Lee, Business Development Manager for Smart Poles at Schréder. She said SHUFFLE was designed to fit busy public spaces with product and feature sets that can be updated as site needs evolve. Safety and connectivity, she added, are integrated without dominating the space, making the system accessible and user-friendly.
Where the system fits
The company points to university and business campuses, airports and commuting hubs, shopping malls and tourist areas, concert halls, city parks, sports venues and hospitals as potential applications. In those settings, the combination of multi-use adaptability and communication features is positioned as a way for site managers to address a range of requirements through one infrastructure platform.
“SHUFFLE represents exactly the kind of thinking our industry needs: technology and design working together to make outdoor spaces safer and smarter without compromising aesthetics,” said Jordan Agustin, President of Lighting at Landscape Forms. He said the new features and capabilities integrated into SHUFFLE’s streamlined design enhance the beauty and functionality of outdoor space while advancing the company’s mission of connecting people to the outdoors and each other.
