Mace Construct will be renamed Forco from the new year, the UK contractor has said, describing the chosen name as short, impactful and easy to pronounce.
The business will keep trading as Mace Construct until then. The change follows the split of Mace Construct and Mace Consult into two separate businesses in March, under an agreement that Mace Consult would retain the Mace brand.
Alongside the new name, the company plans to unveil a new corporate strategy setting out productivity targets running through to 2030.
Leadership sets out the rationale
Mark Reynolds, Executive Chair, said the business had worked for 35 years to lift standards and move the industry forward. He said the new name represented a commitment to being the UK's most forward-thinking contractor, and its most productive by 2030.
Reynolds said the qualities that had made the company one of the UK's most respected contractors were not changing, pointing to its culture, its values and the people behind its success. Clients, he added, could expect the same teams, the same commitment to delivery and the same drive to create places and infrastructure that last.
