RAJAPACK UK, a Bedfordshire-based packaging distributor, has changed its name to RAJA UK, aligning the UK business with the RAJA Group’s brand across Europe. The company said it supplies more than 43,000 UK businesses and has served the UK market since 1998.
RAJA UK is part of the RAJA Group, which was founded in France in 1954 by Rachel Marcovici and Janine Rocher. The group’s name comes from the founders’ first names, and the company says the shared identity gives customers one recognisable brand across the 19 European countries it serves.
The UK operation has traded under the Rajapack name since 1998, and the new identity places it under the same RAJA banner used elsewhere in the group. RAJA UK says the change does not alter the people, product range or next-day service on which customers rely.
Leadership frames the change around continuity
Tom Rodda, managing director of RAJA UK, said the name had changed but the elements customers depend on had not: the same people, product range and next-day service. He also noted that peak trading was only weeks away and that the company had made planning easier with a free tool that puts a number on the cost of the busiest weeks.
The rebrand comes alongside RAJA UK’s free Prepare for Peak tool. The company says the tool helps businesses estimate what peak will cost their packing operation, and what they could save, ahead of Black Friday on 27 November.
Industry benchmarks and user inputs
Users select their industry to see how far orders typically rise at peak. The benchmarks combine Office for National Statistics retail data with RAJA order data from 2023 to 2025. Users then enter their own figures, such as parcels handled per day and the number of people packing.
The output is an illustrative estimate rather than a quotation, according to RAJA UK. The company presents the tool as a planning aid for businesses preparing for higher order volumes during the peak season.
The tool is designed for use before Black Friday, when order volumes can rise. Because it produces an illustrative estimate rather than a quote, businesses can use it as a planning indication rather than a firm price.
For customers, the change is primarily a branding shift. RAJA UK says the people, range and next-day service remain unchanged, while the group brand is already used in other European markets. The UK move brings the business into line with the parent company.
